Christmas With No Gifts?? (Pressure Is On)

BABY, IT’S COLD OUTSIDE……

We are 10 days and 9 sleeps away from Christmas everyone, and before you know it another time of the year is over, just like every other Christmas. All we’ve got is to let ourselves enjoy and live in the moment because not everyone has been so fortunate. Have fun, stay festive and while at it stay fashionable.

Christmas shopping ………still not done guys, but I’m definitely not stressing this year. You know why? Been shopping all year round and I feel like we just spent a whole bunch of money just couple of  weeks ago, doing Black Friday shopping. And so I decided that this year, I’m going to be stay sane and not go overboard trying to gift every single person on the list.

CHRISTMAS WITHOUT GIFTS??

Does anyone else get so worked up over who should be on the priority list for giving out Christmas gifts?

As enjoyable and blissful this time of year can be, it can also be one of the most stressful, hands down. We quickly forget the true meaning of Christmas (birth of Jesus Christ) and only resort to the fun and parcel of it all. Often times,  it can get a little overwhelming when everyone is expecting a gift from you and vice versa. Are we forced to buy gifts not only for the immediate family (kids and spouses) but also the extended family, including  grandparents ( on both sides), nieces, nephews, cousins, aunties, uncles, and oh, how about we throw  in the coworkers. The list goes on and on…. The stress that mounts on families and individuals pertaining gifts is unimaginable.

In a scenario where everyone else is getting you something and here you are unable to gift back to each one of them, not because you didn’t want to, but because this year has been extremely tough and there’s no way you could afford gifting all these people. In such a situation, what do you do? Do you give an excuse and absent yourself from Christmas dinners? Or can you just be honest and tell them the real reasons?

I mean, Christmas is all about the giving spirit and more so of giving and sharing with those less privileged than we are.  So who should be on the priority list and who shouldn’t?

Tell me your thoughts and let’s get chatting…..
